From Visual13 we have created and produced a communication campaign for the brand "Empordà" aimed at local markets, Catalonia and southern France. The campaign was launched on 8 June 2020, with the claim "Jo em planto a l'Empordà" (Empordà here I come!).
The campaign has been broadcast on television (TV3, XTVL), radio (Catalunyo Ràdio and Rac1), press (El Periódico, El Punto, Diari de Girona, Empordà, Hora Nova, L'Indepéndant) and digital platforms. We have produced 20sec ads (for television) and 60sec ads (online), a radio skirt, a landing page and advertisements for the written press.
The ads have been filmed entirely during the weeks of the confinement. "All the images are filmed using a drone because we wanted to capture from the air the amalgam of textures, colours and experiences that is the Empordà", says the director, Vicenç Asensio, and adds "what we want is for the spectator to be able to feel with his own body what he feels when he comes to the Empordà. It's a neural experience that can't be forgotten".
The campaign does not make nostalgic reading or reference to the current situation. The copy of the campaign is an optimistic look, it makes the territory the protagonist and this dialogues with the spectator. In the ad, which is the main axis of the campaign, no people appear and the heritage is the protagonist. Nor can the iconic spaces of the Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà be distinguished, but rather an attempt has been made to find locations that can represent the infinite number of corners of peace, tranquillity, singularity and freedom that the Empordà has.
